EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I usually don't care about that kind of scales (?) but that is mesmerizing!

I carry this D2 Rat 1 a lot, it's one of my work edc rotations. This knife amazes my coworkers as I use it to cut things like rubber hose, small branches and the occasional tin can. The amazement comes when I show them it still shaves hair afterward. I do this with my HK too. None of them have ever heard of D2, silly non knife people. The D2 may not be as hard as my Benchmade/HK Axis but it's still great especially at $38.

I’m planning on grabbing a Rat 2 when I can, I never paid them much attention until lately. For the price and build it would be a perfect EDC work knock around.

Which Benchmade H&K knife do you have?

Definitely grab a Rat, and go with the D2. My HK is the Axis model, I post it on here from time to time. The HK is a great knife too, unfortunately they're discontinued. This knife was cheaper than a griptilian and built like a 710... mine is a hard user.

Just got this guy. It’s really growing on me but as usual I have some gripes. (I will have to learn to overlook) the flipper is quite pointy against the forefinger when the blade is open. The lock is good but can be pushed almost all the way over to the g10 scale.

But what bothers me the most is the extra over half an inch of needlessly open space at the butt of the knife. The blade sweeps up so they could have easily placed the standoff under the belly of the closed blade.

Or even if he wanted to keep the design where the two screws are in line with eachother (which I think he did) he could have moved the screw up half an inch and have the tip tuck into the waist of the hourglass standoff. A friend speculated that he might have been wanting to use this same handle with a longer blade.

Gripes aside the knife is really growing on me.
