EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Yup... I’ll keep boring y’all with the same knife

What are your thoughts on the smock? I've been going back-and-forth thinking about getting one.

I initially found it a bit ugly and thought that the choil was a war crime, but (as so often happens) I kept seeing them in posts and slowly started to change my mind. :D

Now I like the aesthetics, and I also like how fun it is to figet with, the hollow grind, its overall non-threatening appearance, and how narrow it is for a Spyderco (no hump). Ergos are good but not great in my hands. Probably my favorite use of Spyderco's CF/G10 scales, they suit it well.

It's a unique knife, and one that's really grown on me.

Love that Sodbuster. Really liking it every day. Tried to sell that Busse, but I guess the market's slow because I couldn't get anywhere near what I payed. Oh well... use it. Hacked thru a small redwood branch and whittled a pointy stick. Safe Queen, no more. Pretty huge for an edc fixed blade but when sequestered at home, it's nice to have when taking a walk.

Affected the blade zero, as expected I suppose. I don't know... my arm was tired!

I'm far from the world's best sharpener and I've easily been able to put a razor sharp edge back on it quickly. With that said, I've never let it get duller than working sharp.
I've never had a problem sharpening recurves. The Sharpmaker does a great job using the edges and the flats of the triangular rods are narrow enough that they do just fine refining/evening-out the edge--just the way you'd use that set-up for any knife. The EdgePro has become my go-to sharpener for everything but touch-ups so I bought a set of their narrow hones for recurves as I have a few and enjoy that blade grind as well as others. Those hones do a great job on both the belly and inside curve. I did a major reprofile on one of my 710 D2's and it came out just super.

I bought my wife a North Fork to go along with her other EDCs, but she rarely carries it, though for no particular reason. I sneak into her knife drawer every once in a while and tote that knife around for a bit. Nice little blade.
