Happy Friday! It couldn't have gotten here sooner. Carrying a Gerber Covert in 154CM today, Applegate/Fairbairn design, made in the USA.

I must admit they have devised one of the best locking safety setups that I have seen. Also carrying a Black Ice Zippo and a SOG Q1, hoping to use the cap lifter later today. Have a great weekend!

I'll make this a Carbon Fiber Friday with my KSF exclusive Benchmade 908BK-1501. There's really nothing not to like about this one--a great steel in M4, BMK's AXIS lock, my favorite clip of theirs in the Parkerized split arrow, open-back construction with everything blacked-out save the handsomely contrasting bright blue standoffs, and probably the nicest piece of carbon fiber in my collection. As much as I love the look of black blades I've got this phobia about hating to see them marked up and have actually sold some of my favorites as I couldn't bear to risk carrying and using them. This one finally started to get some pocket time after babying it for far too long and I was pleased to find how tough the Cerrakote finish protecting the M4 actually is. I got a few scratches on one side and was surprised to find they were just "in" the coating and not through it.

I do love the Stryker, have had a couple others along the way, and my wife actually has a mini (which she confiscated by eminent domain when I mentioned selling it) and two full-sized of her own.

Edit: That sucker definitely needs to have its raggedy-ass lanyard replaced. There's a little something to do this afternoon.

Just in today, Schatt & Morgan humpback lockback whittler...should handle anything that comes up while I zombie away the rest of the day (got off nightshift this morning and only had a little nap):)
