EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I went with the other side of the Delica/Endura pairing today as I wait for my new pair to arrive.

The new knives shipped Monday and tracking had them getting here Saturday as Knife Center usually mails 1st Class, not Priority. Surprisingly, by last night they were already in Springfield, MA and during the wee hours this morning they went through Providence, RI, to Wareham, MA, and hit my PO shortly thereafter. I had just enough time after work to grab my package notice from my box and retrieve these two from my friendly postal clerk.

I'm looking forward to cleaning off the factory oil, breaking them in, and cutting some stuff with my first Hap40 blades.

Thanks man, it’s a Quiet Carry Waypoint. Happy Wednesday!

I’m really liking it. The balance of how much blade you get in this compact folder is spot on. Action is quite smooth being on washers and the ergos are well-dialed in. The pivot has backed out slightly after multiple thumb-flicks, but I’m sure that can be fixed. The grind on mine came fairly even and it slices/cuts extremely well. I’d say it’s worth giving a try. Hope your week has been going well!

Awesome! I appreciate the feedback and hope your having a good week as well brother!

Good looking blade, what is it please?

Thanks its a Civivi Governor. About 4" of hollow ground D2 riding on PB washers. Smooth action and pretty light for the size at a little over 4 oz. Civivi offers great bang for the buck and best of all its very affordable!

Realized I've been neglecting my keens so threw my favorite port hole version in the pocket this evening.

I got mine a couple days ago, it's quite slim. Mine also came with a nice grind but being a tinkerer I polished it up, very even, right @ 20 per side. I sliced up an apple last night, I could make see through pieces quite easily. Just used it to cut through a block of cheese and even though the handle is quite thin for gripping it went right through without feeling any discomfort. The thin hollow grind makes a nice blade. The knife seems well made with very solid lock-up, no noticeable blade play in any direction and the blade is well centered. I took it apart a little bit ago, it wasn't very clean inside though functioned great. It's now clean and well oiled. The screw on the scale has noticeable thread locker but not hardcore, didn't notice any on the pivot but I believe there is a little. It's nice that there are only 2 T8 screws holding it together with nicely machined heads.

I hesitate to get too excited about it at the price point, it's nice, not sure it's really a $300 knife but that's what it cost. Very little knife for the money, I mean literally, very thin scales and very thin blade stock. I wouldn't call it a hard user but a nice EDC. The scales are machined out on the inside and the LC2000 lockbar is attached with 2 screws and 2 locator pins and fits flush w/out any gaps. Like I said it's well made and a cool mid-size knife. I have a few TRM's and don't carry them much due to there thinness, we'll see where this falls in the line-up.

Sorry to jump in but it's been in my hand for the last couple days :D

2 beautiful knives. What is the one on the left? I haven't been keeping up with all the collectorknives exclusives.

Probably a stupid question, but I know virtually nothing about traditional folders. Who makes the red handled knife...it is beautiful!!

Thank you! The one on the left is a Swayback Jack, made by Viper Knives in Italy - a fantastic knife and one I've been carrying pretty frequently.

The one on the right in the red Sawcut is a #77 Barlow, made by Great Eastern Cutlery in Titusville, PA.

Both are SFOs of Mike's from Collector Knives.

I appreciate the added assessment brother! I’m sure anyone who’s looking at getting one wouldn’t mind more info.
