Went over the mountains to see what I could see

Absolutely beautiful pictures !!

Thanks man. It’s been a good saw. Was going for the lighter weight when I got it trying to save my back. I bet that 441 is a beast! I’ve seen video of ported saws and they are impressive for sure. I’d never turn down more power. :)
It is a beast indeed. It hands a stock 660 it's ass emphatically. 71cc's singing strong at 15000 rpm's gets my blood moving quite nicely, and the fact it is always in perfect tune and starts in 1-2 pulls religiously makes it hard to beat. Add spring anti-vibration (stiffer in the "R" wrap version) and a Husky-clone cyclonic air filtration (I can literally forget about the air filter for dozens of tanks) and you have the greatest firewood getter ever made.

Makes me miss mine a little. Good knife.

That looks an awful lot like a Sago palm. I usually associate those with Florida. :)

You would be correct. That one recieved a heavy trimming but they are about to sprout new shoots any day now. i actually have 4 sago palms in my front yard although i only wish i was in Florida instead of the sweltering Texas heat thats coming shortly. Nice para 3 btw!

Happy Saturday Knifenuts!! Just cracked my first beer, prime rib is in the oven... Skinny skinner finally showed up..... great evening so far!

Awesome corona 2020 skinner! Super cool and congrats!

The 204P Millie is indeed a great knife. Congrats on the pick-up! Are those actually blue scales or is that just the light playing tricks with a green KW exclusive?

Thanks brother its indeed a KW exclusive. Im a sucker for green and millies as well. While i love my beautiful Ti millies the lighter weight of the G10 variants are that much nicer to carry. Heres another shot of it from earlier to round out the evening.

As another Millie lover I definitely agree. The Ti models are great--I've got the KW S90V/CF plus a fluted Ti--but my green 204P is a real winner for carry-ability. I sold my DigiCamo with the black blade as I didn't want to mark it up, but would like to have another all-G10 again just for an EDC user.

Nice knives. In my humble opinion, the tri-way pivot and steel lock bar inserts are gimmicky at best. However, I could look past them if Rick were to produce a run of skinny non-flipper skinners. Great looking blade shape.

I humbly disagree :p
All kidding aside I think the tri-way was a brilliant Idea giving you 3 different options. Although most will choose bearings which is probably why there installed as the First choice. The lockbar insert is very effective for a few different reasons. One being instead of your lockbar wearing out the insert does which unlike the lockbar can easily be replaced. Also being the frames/lockbar are made of titanium it can make for a long not so enjoyable break in period which would normally include lockbar stick. Titanium doesn’t get along with most blade steels.
Just another opinion and I don’t mean any disrespect :) but honestly I don’t think neither is a gimmick.

The 0308 is has been in my pocket since I got it. I’ve really been surprised how well it carries, considering how heavy it is. (7.2 ounces I think. 5C239146-8032-4419-AF6E-928185B658B8.jpeg
I put it on my kme at 20 degrees. Next time I think I’ll take it to 18 degrees, it has done all my cutting for the last month and all I’ve done is strop it. It’s still pretty sharp... shave arm hair no problem.
Holding this knife is a pleasure for me. I don’t know if they intended me to hold the front of the blade like it’s a choil? But I actually can treat it like it is. It’s flat but comfortable.
I just really like this knife. I tried to put the spydiechef in pocket twice in the last month. I changed it out at lunch both days. This knife had been my favorite since I got it. Good job ZT.

I've had both, and strongly agree with you. I really prefer my framelocks to be without lockbar inserts. I like the bite of titanium against steel for the lock engagement, and it is increasingly difficult to find them as manufacturers opt for the mass production option of inserts. That's why I like my older XM's, and have recently discovered how much I really like the SnG and SMF for similar reasons. I also like the Gen3 XM's where the closed stop pin is more "internal", and like blade mounted stop pins for the open position, ala the aforementioned and Umnumzaan's, a lot of Medford's, etc.
