Looks like biltong to me!! Mmmm!!! I miss that stuff! Nice looking Spydies too.
Oh, I really like that! Quoting deliberately to bring this to the next page. Would love to see more angles of that one.

This goes back a few years but almost every Strider I owned except for one which was a semi custom had horrible lock stick. Sometimes it went away “almost” but most of the time not. Usually my thumb broke in first lol so to me it’s not worth it.I also like the bite you speak of but not to we’re your thumb turns purple trying to disengage. The custom I had was wonderful but unfortunately the remaining that weren’t were horrible. But hey just my experience everyone’s else’s mileage will vary. If they could get It right I would not have a problem with a knife without a lockbar insert.I've had both, and strongly agree with you. I really prefer my framelocks to be without lockbar inserts. I like the bite of titanium against steel for the lock engagement, and it is increasingly difficult to find them as manufacturers opt for the mass production option of inserts. That's why I like my older XM's, and have recently discovered how much I really like the SnG and SMF for similar reasons. I also like the Gen3 XM's where the closed stop pin is more "internal", and like blade mounted stop pins for the open position, ala the aforementioned and Umnumzaan's, a lot of Medford's, etc.

You nailed it with “When there done right “I agree. when Ti lockbars are done right they are my preference as opposed to an insert. My sebenzas, sage 2, and gen 4 XM18 just to name a few i own that are done well. Inserts dont require the same care for fitment, are prone to slipping ala many ZTs, and can induce lock stick just as easily when bearing down cutting. Just my thoughts.
