EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I just had the same exact experience with a brand new Medford Praetorian Slim I just received. Terrible lock stick and really bad lock design choices means its getting sent back. At least yours had some chamfering on the lock bar.. my praetorian slim lock bar was just a 90 degree SHARP angle. Not only does the model have no cut out on the show side for lock bar access, my lock bar side was actually lower than the show side. If that was intentional then its bad design, if not then its bad craftsmanship. That combined with the very thin opening and the terrible lock stick made it impossible to open comfortably. I liked the look of it and how thin it was, but there are some major design issues that need to be addressed. Im ok with having to break in a titanium frame lock knife (I shouldn't be since other companies have shown its not a necessity) but I cant break it in if I can barely even access the lock. Just a really big disappointment on a $500+ knife.

I’m sorry you’ve experienced the same as Myself. I agree it’s a bad design on both models. The knife was so beautiful though and it broke my heart to send it back . But it’s on the way as we speak and my thumbs still hurt. I kept trying and didn’t want to give up and now I’m feeling the pain. A couple more times on my last try up until this morning when I was packaging it back up for return. It was tight and then the second opening it got tighter and on the 3rd it locked so tight it wouldn’t budge. Thought I was going to have to wrap it in a blanket and ship it back as a fixed blade lol . Very sad and I agree 100% on everything you’ve said. I’m glad you’ve posted your thoughts because that was the next model from Medford I was going to try but not now I’m done. Think I will look into a CRK Insingo Inkosi or a 31 possibly.
 
Well the revolving door is still moving fast:D
My Medford is on it’s way back to the dealer and another Hogue Deka arrived in my mailbox . I couldn’t decide if I wanted green G-Mascus or the FDE. So I bought the FDE the same day I ordered the green from another dealer lol.
Both great examples but this one feels even better if your splitting hairs lol.
Think I like the FDE G-Mascus better to :thumbsup:
But they are somewhat similar in color.
This my friends is a great knife in all areas.

It's not as nice looking or expensive as The Factor's Medford, but I love the flame ano on it. It's a WE Roxi 4. I got this to tide me over until the Yojumbo hits the streets!

That’s a Beautiful knife and expense doesn’t even matter in most cases.We knives are well made and every one I’ve owned have been absolutely perfect examples. I actually have another on the way that’s a BHQ exclusive that’s already sold out within less then a day. There great knives and I love yours ! That flame ano is gorgeous Sir and hope you enjoy that beauty at its fullest and please keep posting pictures of it I really enjoy viewing it :thumbsup: The Blade/ Wharnie is outstanding to!

It's what I've come to expect from WE - smooth action, perfect detent, great fit and finish, etc. The flame ano is some of the nicest I've ever seen.

The hardest thing I usually use my knives for is cutting up Amazon boxes that look at me the wrong way, but I'll definitely use the thing. I'm curious to see how that flame ano will look after it's gotten a little scuffed up.

The only problem is there are like 5 Spydercos I tend to reach for before I go for this one. Best kind of first world problem to have. :thumbsup:

Man I’d have a hard time scuffing that beauty up unless I had a duplicate. That has some nice lines it’s a sexy knife. How does it feel in hand ? looks to be very ego :thumbsup:

I'd get an extra if I had the money! :p

It's pretty comfy in hand. It's a 4 inch blade, but in a pretty compact package that's relatively thin. One very slight criticism would be that I'd like the jimping along the spine where your thumb goes to be slightly more aggressive. And that's only if I was forced to find something to criticize about it.
