Decided to top the week off this Friday with this pair againwith the exception of the worksharp of course
Decided to use the worksharp I didn’t use the guides so I could hit the edge at the angles I wanted to remove the micro chips on the sheepdog as mentioned earlier caused by hitting a staple opening a box so to no fault of this S35vn . Anyway oh my it was a success and pretty proud of my self it’s been a while since I freehanded on stones and or a Bowie for that matter.I must say it’s sharper now then out of box and it was sharp then. It’s so much easier keeping a consistent edge on a chisel grind so that takes a lot of the credit. Very impressed the way this S35vn responded to stones and took a edge
A beautiful sharp working edge but maybe on the next sharpening when ever that might be I might pull out the edge pro and put a nice polished edge on it .But until then I’m going to enjoy this super sharp working edge.

It’s a Emerson MiniSheepdog with Micarta scales and S35vn dealer exclusive. The mini and standard sheepdogs both come with bearings even on the standard run whitch is a nice feature and different flavor I like . Although I love the standard hydraulic feel Emerson has with there teflon washers toI have found that S35 likes a refined toothy edge and seems to work better for me that way. It will take a polish but it always seemed like it would loose the bite quickly. As always ymmv.
What knife is that?
They seem to have had a few production options CF, micarta, plain titanium etc (including various blade finishes - bead blasted, stonewash, satin and dlc). You will recall I asked you the other day if they had done a stone wash blade version - after that I dug some more and stumbled across this used one. The rest is history (and down to my extremely weak will power). Heh.
Very Sorry for your loss , Sublime was/ is one of my favorite bands .Tough day. Today is 3 years since the day my cousin/brother/best friend died. In his honor, I'm wearing jeans, a Sublime shirt, and unbuttoned flannel. I don't have combat boots or Doc Martens though. Or airwalks. But I'm chilling like it's 1995.
Carrying the talented Mr Bradley for CF Friday. It was my first Spyderco, 7 years ago, thanks to BF. To think I was gonna buy a SOG Pentagon Elite.

Man you ain’t lying. Love the zipper bags. I’ve got a ton of them. Those and old metal ammo cansWell, it's not like I forced you into a bad choice,Dcdavis , given what a great work knife the Inkosingo is. For me, the slight curve of the blade will actually function much like a straight blade for paring in carpentry tasks with the added advantage of a slight forward bite while still affording the usefulness of a blade with belly. There's also more than enough point for drag cutting along a line while the quick drop of the top edge with its generously tapered swedge is still sufficient for piercing.
There aren't a lot of modern folders with similar blade shapes, especially with the excellent cutting geometry of a CRK. I was just able to pick up a Hinderer Skinny Sheepsfoot on the Exchange yesterday and will be really interested to see how it compares. I like my RHKs a lot, but they're a different animal than CRKs for sure and not in the same ballpark as cutters, although the Skinny Slicer I acquired a couple months back is much more than a hard-use knife in that regard.
Back on topic, I'll go with another Insingo today, heading over to my buddy's house this afternoon to measure for LCC apron/window pan flashing for the back dormer as part of his re-roofing/re-modeling project.

BTW, D, it's cool to see your knife on a well-used Klein bag. I've got a bunch of those in service for both work and knife stuff. They're really useful, versatile, and durable.
