EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Adventures in shipping this week with the 550 Grip and set of Wilkins scales I bought last weekend.

I'd figured there might be a chance to join them together this weekend before we take off for Vermont and almost got both here on time as each seller had gotten them out the door on Monday. The GX2's came by Fedex from Germany as Kevin has switched from DHL as they've become undependable for international deliveries. The Fedex guy most apologetically dropped this package off at our door Thursday just as you see it except for the cut tape and the scales somehow miraculously still inside. Given the speed at which they were transported I'm quite sure Fedex eschewed using their usual delivery aircraft and sent the package by ICBM.

As to the 550, my Exchange seller dropped the package off promptly on Monday at the campus post office. When it hadn't shown as accepted by USPS tracking two days later he kindly made another trip to find that the guy who regularly forwarded the outgoing mail was only working Thursdays and Fridays due to a birth in his family and no one there figured they should take up the slack. Our good BF member took the package to USPS himself and it most surprisingly arrived at my local PO this morning around 8 AM, but the staff there didn't get their parcels all sorted before the end of Saturday's short 11 AM to 1 PM counter service and my knife now sits on a shelf there 'til Monday while the tracking shows it as "Delivered" at 10:59 AM. Where's the headshaking/lying Emoji when you need it?

As of earlier this morning I'd hoped to join this...

...carrying the resultant new knife today and showing it off here. We've decided not to leave 'til Monday now anyway and will stay home tomorrow to watch the Pats and still-alive Celtics games, so I'll take the new acquisitions up with me and put it all together at our comfy little shack in the woods. In the meantime, I'll stick with blue and make this a Rainmaker day.
