I got in trouble as a kid with a slingshot. Now in my 50’s I’m sure it wouldn’t be any different:confused:
 
Those pictures are from the first time I've been up the McKenzie river since the crazy fires this summer. You can see in them that there was a fire but also how resilient and beautiful nature is even after something like that. The impact on people who lived there is a lot starker and I didn't take pictures of all the burnt houses because it was depressing and felt like an invasion of privacy. Sometimes a place was spared even though the fire had come within feet, other times everything seemed fine but the house was gone.
