While carrying my McGinnis-designed MBK Sprocket I got out Gerry's own ProLine Valve later yesterday as the two have both numerous similarities and differences. The former is entirely manufactured in China while Gerry and his Dad make their knives in-house Stateside, save for the initial blade grind on these which is done elsewhere. While the MBK knife is not particularly lacking in any regard and the two share numerous design features, the Valve has a more substantial and refined feel, with premium materials and finishing. Anyway, I'm carrying the Valve today and shot these on the deck rail of our home gym in what's left of our small accumulation of typically Cape Cod slop snow/slush.

I miss my Domino so much. It’s one I think I’ll replace at some point. I don’t care what anyone says, that carbon fiber is the best, especially the feel of it. I haven’t found any other carbon fiber that comes close to the tactile feel the Dice and Domino had.
