Great pictures, what model Benchmade is that?

Thank you. As mentioned by a few members above, it’s a 781 Anthem. Really is an interesting one from Benchmade. 20CV blade, titanium integral body and an Axis lock that doesn’t use Omega springs but rather a single spring on a rod mounted to the back. The opening/closing action on it is really something else. On bearings, it flies open with the slightest push and closes the same way. It’s really kind of unreal how well it closes combined with the seating action of the Axis lock. I can hold it facing down, parallel to the ground and the blade will swing fully closed with a quick pull on the lock, once you have the timing down it almost feels like an auto. The single spring Axis lock is also quite nice, very smooth and no dragging feeling. Which brings me to the clip, it sucks and will be replaced with an MXG option once I get around to ordering one.

Mine was slightly off centered like 51/49 to the show side, which triggered my ocd big time. I did a thing tho The “Can’t leave anything alone” Thread and it was rewarding. Now, it’s perfectly centered and ran on PB washers. The bearings are fine but then again they’re bearings... and they roll on those divots created by over tightening by the factory. It was getting somewhat gritty nonetheless. PB fixed all that but i do miss the metallic rolling sound tho :(. But, i get a near silence and ultra smooth also drop shutty action without the inconvenience of bearings, in return. :D

The clip sucked hands down. If you ever get the MXG deep carry clip, go for the stonewashed version. It surprisingly matches the ano almost 99%

“51/49”...?... that is some ocd you got yourself there :). Seriously though, I do recall reading your washer swap out post in the Can’t leave anything alone thread, pretty cool, and dedicated. Glad it turned out how you envisioned, it’s always a great feeling when a plan comes together. Thanks for the note on the clip, I think it motivated me to finally go put an order in for one.

Like the blade is not 50/50 split in the center but leaned ever so sightly to the right about 51%/49% and yes it was was enough to make me go cray cray about f&f. And also yes, that clip perfected the knife, imo. Worth the extra dough :D.
