EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Like the blade is not 50/50 split in the center but leaned ever so sightly to the right about 51%/49% and yes it was was enough to make me go cray cray about f&f. And also yes, that clip perfected the knife, imo. Worth the extra dough :D.

Yeah, I know what you meant, just an attempt at a joke about the severity of your compulsion level with it not being very much off (1%) to send you down the fabrication/machining cray cray road. I can appreciate it though, I’m sure the guy at my local shop rolls his eyes a bit when I want to buy a knife and I ask him to open every box of that model to spend the next 30 minutes trying and examining each one for best f&f :). It is pretty funny how meticulous we knife nuts can be, where the average guy wouldn’t even notice. I used a friends knife at work one time, the pivot was so loose the blade was scraping against one of the scales, this didn’t seem to bother him a bit but, made me mental and I couldn’t give it back to him without fixing it.

I figured to make this a Shirogorov Sunday as it had been a while since I carried one and quite some time since I'd pocketed my F95R. I was all-but-shocked to note that it'd been 3 weeks for a Shiro and over 2 months for my blue ano'd R. I guess that's what happens when you've got so many damn knives. (Insert shrugging emoji.)

Because, we knife knuts are also nuts enough to spend on a $400+ knife. If, at that price tag, it’s not perfect, put me in a mental jacket because i might go ham on it.

Joke aside, since it’s an integral and there was visually no other ways to fix it other than send it back to BM or try your luck on buying another and perhaps end up with a worse one. If i were to send it to BM, which to be honest, it’s not really possible from here in the land of maple sypup, i’m sure they may or may not make it worse. Might as well do it myself. We are never better served than by ourselves, right? :D

......right?

OH wow. I that that was one of the original release GB2s. What did you force it with?

I've really enjoyed leering the patina on my Maxemet Para 3 develop on its own.
A vinegar and mustard soaked rag wrapped around the blade for several hours.

Yeah, on some I let the patina come naturally, and others I force it. Just whatever I feel suits the build I'm going for.

EDIT: Just be sure to mask off the important parts that touch other things like the washer area, detent ball path and locking surface
