EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

ZT 0566. I de-assisted it, and its a world of difference. I liked it before, but I love it now. I didn't mind the assist as it fired so hard it actually had recoil. Closing the blade smoothly was another matter. Didn't like fighting the spring. Totally different knife now, and it is currently in my pocket.

I think you'll find a lot of agreement that Speedsafe and it's iterations fire very hard. IMO, Kershaw should replace all of it's springs with bearings, and let people choose to wrist flick them open if they want. But I don't know how Ken Onion would feel about that.....

0A398CC9-821B-414E-B4CE-490D2C68C6DE.jpeg I’m usually a tactical minded kind of guy but today I decided I’d carry something a little old school in my pocket. My Case knives don’t see a lot of pocket time mainly because most were given to me by my father. I love it when a particular blade possesses the ability to make me think of a person or place in time from my life, those knives are a completely different kind of cool to me.

I found my cybertool yesterday. We had a yard sale and it was in one of the bins from likely weeks ago when we were going through everything. Stoked to have this back in my pocket.

Decided to do a full EDC dump now that I have my beloved cybertool back. Norseman is my knife of choice today.

Great looking spread! :) What are your impressions on the gen5?

I love it. My requirements are accuracy, dependability and night sights. It checks all boxes. I shoot it weekly at the range, which allows drawing from a holster. One ragged bullseye at 15 feet and can hit a silhouette target (outdoor range) at 100 yards 80% of the time. Not one failure so far.

There was so much wind, and associated schmutz blowing around, I couldn't keep the glass clean. And, after the knives getting blown over, and having to move because the sun peeked through with some serious glare, I caught the scraped section in the picture. So much for my artsy shot...
