EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I saw this baby on sale at a Canadian retailer and had to try a Medford. Most expensive knife I have ever bought by far (by 3x).

It is almost comically big. This is a huge big brick of a knife weighing almost 1/2lb. It is big as my iPhone 6! I love it though. Fit and finish is perfect and the stupid thick D2 blade cuts surprisingly well.

Sweet!!! Money well spent. The action on those monsters is surprisingly well tuned, especially after a little use. IMO, best thing about MKT, by far, is their stellar customer service. Great choice. Enjoy!

Yup. Amazingly built. Quite surprised.

I have already been texting Greg with a couple of questions and he responds immediately. Pretty cool to deal with the owner via cell whenever needed.

I'm really enjoying this little knife. After carrying 4 inch overbuilt folders I really appreciate how light and slicey this thing is.

Benchmade Altitude? I'm a folder guy, but that's one of the few fixed blades that's called my name recently...

Yup. I am starting to prefer fixed blades more and more. After going through a Diskin Skinner, an Adamas 375 and a Spartan blades Phrike this is by far my favorite. It's ridiculously light and easy to carry. I put a mini ulticlilp on the sheath and carry it iwb on my 4 o'clock. My poor ZT 804cf is feeling neglected.

It's funny you mention it's portability because I think the main reason I've been so attracted to it is that I find it to be the FB version of the Bugout; it's light, small and slicey while having the steel upgrade to boot (S90V vs S30V)! As well, aesthetics are subjective, but to me it's a looker; a clean and minimal design with a touch of class (and colour) with the CF micro scale!

Again, I'm a little hesitant being a folder man myself, but like I said, that hasn't stopped it from gaining my attention!

Hi guys! Been awhile, and what better way to make my triumphant return than a WRUC post?

A Buck Vantage Pro (Cabelas Alaskan Guide model) and a Victorinox Manager, with its tweezers replaced by a toothpick. The Buck was only $80, and that was at full retail price. I picked it up last night at Bass Pro. I was looking at a Benchmade Mini Griptilian and liking that quite a lot, but its scales' checkering is so sharp I just know it would chew up my pockets right-quick.

I'm surprised I could score an S30V-bladed knife at this price.

I do find myself missing my old Spyderco Delica too, but the only one they had was serrated. Probably just as well, as they were about $40 too expensive there. I think mine was a first generation, with the integral plastic pocket clip and AUS-8 steel.
