EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Went with the X5 as I knew I’d be getting into some rougher work this afternoon. I think this was the second knife I bought, and while I’ve since learned that I prefer to carry smaller knives I still enjoy breaking this one out occasionally....and it has yet to let me down.

I sure would like to see Hogue expand their catalog a bit.

And yeah, I got the memo. One-pic Monday.....

Day four with this beauty. It's definitely a keeper. I'd like to install a custom deep pocket carry clip, but the clip screws are a bit strange. Neither imperial nor metric, it seems proprietary. It's made of a soft metal so I dare not take them out for fear of stripping them. @Barman1 is trying to help me with that. Wish me luck.

That is a fantastic trio!

:D
I’m jealous my friend ! I got all ready for a ride Saturday since I had not rode my bike since right before winter and it was the first 65 degree day and sunny. Got all my gear on was feelings a good ride on the way and rolled her out of the garage after disconnecting my battery tender and bam 2 half cranks and the battery was dead. I was like WTF the battery tender had a solid green light which means I should of been good to go. I also always monitor it to make sure the green light was on. So anyway figure the battery let go after 4 years and maybe the battery tender was charging one less cell thinking everything was good . So head off to my local motorcycle toy store and picked up a $140 battery best I could get and got home and for shits and giggles I thought I’d try and fire up my bike before the new battery install and she fires up with only a half of crank ready rip lol sounding so fricken good. Long story short I yanked the battery anyway because now I can’t trust it and put the new one in so I’m ready for the next nice day. Almost went for a ride after the install but decided maybe it was a warning not to ride this day so I covered her back up and ready to fight/Ride another day. So for now I can just reminisce my track days on my other bikes to get my fix :)

I hear ya. When I was still riding, if something was off, or any kind of warning sign before I headed out, I’d put her away for the day.
There are only two kinds of riders, ones who have been down, and ones who are going down. I’m the former...a few times. Lol. Push the limits, and it’s bound to happen, but boy oh boy is it fun!

Couldn’t agree more my Friend!
I’ve been down twice on the streets but never at the track “knock on wood” !
That was early on in my learning curve and fortunately I’ve had second chances .

Truer words have never been spoken!! 70mph my front tire blew on my 01 HD wide glide.... Ouch.... Slid and cart wheeled down route 4 just outside of Rutland VT.. Thank god I wasn't in the city, I'd have been run over!!! Broke.my index finger, ripped my shirt off, turned my jeans.into assless chaps and tore the buckle off one of my boots. Road rash.from shoulders and arms, my back n ass n some leg!!
Coulda been worse!! I stopped sliding 2 feet from the guard rail... That woulda hurt

Thanks for posting more excellent SBG pics, though they're making me even antsier to get mine in hand. I just went back to the Arkansas dealer site to see if my order status had changed and re-read their shipping policy. They say most orders go out in 24 to 48 hours and to allow 7-10 days for delivery. I must admit I'm spoiled by doing business with the likes of KC or DLT where I can order on a weekend, the knife is out the door Monday morning, and it arrives Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

Anyway your pic with the Starkosi and StarTac gives me a great sense of the SBG's size and proportion as I have both a 25 Starbenza as well as the WC Zaan.

Glad to be of some help ChazzyP ChazzyP ! Hope you enjoy your SBG. That button lock and bronze washer combo is fun to play with.
