EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Thanks for the interest, the Norseman, despite it shape, i find it quite useful, particularly the point where the recurve meets the belly of the tanto. It digs right in boxes and with the recurve, bites in and open boxes easily and fast. I like the recurve to cut down wax paper or wrapping cardboard at the shop, clean and easy. Action is fantastic both thumbstud or flipper

The tanto tip with the belly punctures easily through tape and cardboard too

As for sharpening the recurve, i found that the sharpemaker with it triangle rods works thhe best either for honing or resharp depending on the rods you are using

And stropping the recurve, i use a scrap piece a leather belt, folded over and use it to strop the recurve

Hey man, thanks for taking your time and doing this interesting review about the Norseman, and thanks also for showing your sharpening skills! The recurve Grimsmo uses seems to bring out the lower tip very well, propably better than a straight tanto blade would do... Anyway, good to have a thinner and a thicker tip on one knife. The action seems stunning, and the flipper shape looks just right (not too big/sharp but functional). Time to start saving some money in the piggybank for me.;) But beside the amount of money, they seem to be hard to find...

Had to take apart my new Native 5 for a tight, gritty and bad action. I couldn't get it adjusted with the pivot screws, so I decided to see if I could find the cause.

I seen absolutely nothing.

However, once put back together and lubed up, the bad action is now gone, and I have the snap I wanted.

Haha, what the hell. No idea what I did to fix it but I'll take it!

This morning I had a little free time to do some knife maintenance. I pulled out my Elmax 0562 for a bit of attention. After a bit of cleaning, lubing and stopping the blade, I swapped the the hardware with some new titanium pieces and the stock lock bar stabilizer with a Damasteel replacement.

The Griptilian helped out the past two days by strippring wire for lights and opening boxes to finish building my new trailer yesterday. And again today helping to score sheetrock and dried caulk along with other various tasks todays as I worked to demo my bathroom to studs. **This picture was for posing purposes and not how the knife was actually used.

The sheetrock did a number on the blade coating. But I love the character this knife is taking on as I put her to work. I bought her as a user heavy duty knife and I am not at all disappointed.
