WingmanEDC Spark for what started out as a reasonably nice Wednesday morning. 45 minutes later and I’m stuck in my car waiting for the rain to let up a bit so I don’t get soaked going into an appointment.
30-plus years living in southwest FL. You’d think by now I’d know to carry an umbrella during the rainy season. Lol…what is it they say about old dogs?

I'd laugh, but the exact same thing happened to me today!
I grew up here in Oregon but never saw real rain till I got back east. People here say it rains but it just drizzles and even that only about 1/3 as much as S.E. Alaska. It's funny, but one of the things I'm most nostalgic about back home in Florida is the drenching thunderstorms. I especially love that time right after a storm rolls through to cool down a hot day. Who'd've thought I'd move to the PNW (where most people think it rains all the time) and miss the rain from the "Sunshine State". It rains here (not in the summer) but it's just not the same. I can't help but laugh when I watch the weather and hear them talk about rainfall in the tenths of inches when I'm used to it dropping buckets in a matter of minutes![]()
