EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Growing up poor, they were a staple, and I still love them all these years later. However, I've learned to combine them with other foods to make them even better. To be honest, I'm thankful for the way I grew up. My parents were college students (working their way through) with no family within 1000 miles. Sure I was jealous I was the only one in my high school that had to buy their own car, but those lessons of having a paper route in elementary school, working summers at the family business in middle school, and then a real job at age 16 are things that made me a stronger person. Maybe if the kids these days had to actually work from a young age and didn't have allowances the world might be a bit different.

Carrying my ZT 0095S90BLK today for threatening Thursday. Pic to come later when I'm on lunch break.
Totally agree and understand…I worked my way thru college but it made me really appreciate my times there and the result. Old Ramens were a staple for us as well…you can get pretty creative with them 👍🏻

My carry for Throwback Thursday...

This 806BK is pretty much a drawer queen as it was obtained in all but brand new condition quite a few years after discontinuance. I'll carry it on days, or parts thereof, when I'm pretty sure nothing I'll cut will scuff it up.

I've got a satin 800 AFCK in ATS34 that's more of an EDC, though it's still very clean, as well as an 805 TSEK in 440C that goes to work from time to time. All of these "lesser" steels have wicked sharp edges and are excellent cutters. I feel very lucky to have these three, especially without the serrations that are all-to-common on the generally way-overpriced versions of these models that are currently offered for sale. One more shot of the the 806 here, coz I kept five of those I took this afternoon.

I believe today marks day 9 with the Atom. I intend to carry it through the month of October as well.

I have been enjoying stepping back some and trying to just really use and bond with what I have already but it is difficult to break the mentality of going on the hunt for something new.

That may be one of my favorite knives yet. I have the full size and I love everything about it. Light, thin, and 3.5” of M390. The ergonomics are dead on for me.

I have a full size as well and couldn’t agree with you more, an outstanding knife, that’s what prompted me to pick up this mini. I was a bit concerned it would be too small but it’s not. It is small, but again the design and ergonomics make it work well for its size. The mini is 20CV rather than M390, but I’m OK with that. I’m sure there are other great front flippers out there, but to date this is the only one I’ve found that actions easily every time.
