Sounds like fun.Although the actual beekeeping part is intimidating, processing the combs and separating the wax from the combs and then the honey from the combs is fun IMO.
Before they moved to Idaho, my cousin in law invited me out to a friends house over labor day weekends to hang out on the property in Wisconsin and help with the honey processing. To be honest, I was happy the beekeeper suits they had were too small for me (I'm 6'4") but the rest was very interesting, and everyone who participated got to take home honey. Cranking the centrifuge is hard work, but fun as well. We had like 20 people helping.
I got to go a second year, though my right middle finger was in splint stitched together from a knife incident. Best part of that trip was chasing chickens (no coop, just wild running around the 30 acres he had) and trying to catch a chicken one handed. I almost succeeded. Which was bonus points from my dad, who had a job when he was young capturing chickens to test them for malaria.
Always enjoy seeing your pictures, just enough background to let my imagination make up the rest of the story of where you were that day and with who. You sure live an interesting life.
Good deal and no need to defend yourself my friend…you have good tasteIn my defense I only have four.

Just kidding - a little overkill in daily California
For four month now, I've been carrying this one, mostly plus a fixed blade but smaller than the Behemoth above:

I would never….so man-satchel now is it ??I had fun with my Seven Hinderers in Seven Days Week, but was pretty much longing to switch things up by the end of it. I actually switched up during the day too as I started out with carrying my Olamic Swish to PT in my satchel (got that, bigolegator ?--and no comments about man bag and swish either

..but switched to my Inkosingo this afternoon as I decided to work on tightening up our basement bulkhead. I never got past sweeping it out as a couple thunderstorms came through and put the kibosh on that. I shot these over in the woodshop when I went to get the stiff bristle broom to clean out under the stairs. This knife was bought to go to work, but it's somehow spent little time at that and deserves some snail trails and scuffs to fulfill its true destiny. I'd want @Dcdavis to look more kindly on this one as I saw he carried his yesterday.
