Finally got her back from Boise. Changed the silver hardware out for gold and had the lanyard and bead added. Sharp as a hawk now too.

Weird Wednesday An awesome gift from @Chefget , a Puedo Knifeworks (Randy Johnson) auto with a bizarre mechanism (pull down on the pommel to fire)

That’s a gorgeous and very intriguing knife. If you have time, would you mind posting a pic with the blade retracted?

I’m also wondering if the pommel retracts or pivots in some way when the blade is closed? If not, is there a safety or some other feature that prevents you from accidentally pulling on it while drawing it from your pocket?

Sorry for all the questions, Chip. I’m just really diggin’ the knife and extremely curious about it.

The blade tip actually gets captured in a pocket in the pommel, really strange setup. It would be pretty tough to accidentally fire, the pommel spring is actually the same tension spring that propels the blade so it's also at max tension when closed.
