Well I finally got a day with no roofing and no evening time in the gym with the kids--two actually as we got rained out yesterday and intermittent power outages cancelled last night's sessions. I got the practice schedules done this morning, did some league business, and then got time this afternoon to drop and mostly buck up a good-sized dead oak on our second lot next door. I made this a Spydie Saturday with my Native Chief in CPM Rex45, posing it on my old dump trailer set up to catch all our roof demo...

...below the tarped slide we rigged to get it all down and in.

Then it was on to the tree work. I'm a bit rusty at felling after a couple year's hiatus recovering from surgeries and related complications. You can see how out-of-line the bottom of my felling notch was here, though I still had a decent hinge and the tree fell right where I'd aimed.

Decided to stick with the Le Theirs “Advance” that’s been in my pocket since Friday morning.

Lol, and now that I’ve got a name-sake blunder to my credit, I figure I might as well own it. So today’s theme is Wooden Wednesday…..transitioning into Three-pic Thursday on a Muggy Monday evening.

It's is a custom piece by Phillip Patton!!! Its Rose Damasteel with a compound grind and green canvas micarta scales!!! Here are a few more pics!!
