Wow I’m glad you weren’t hurt manWe've had a patch of rough weather lately along the NE Coast, with a nor-easter a couple weeks back bringing extreme winds, though not all that much rain, and knocking out power to many for up to three days, then last Friday a local windstorm causing intermittent outages. Last night some brought a tornado alert and the edge of strong thunderstorm brushed by us here on-Cape. In bed J and I heard the wind come up and a single loud thump which we took to be one of the roof planks from our project shifting above us. Turns out it was something else and more damaging as this...

This morning I was planning to finish bucking up the tree I dropped yesterday so the CS2258 was coming out anyway and I limbed and sectioned what had been part of the crown of one of our larger oaks after taking care of the other work. There's an even larger broken-off section hanging upside down in the tree 30-plus feet up with the branchy end hung up in an adjacent tree. I'll have to figure out how to get that down later.
Knife-wise, I eschewed any name-day consonance (can't get it wrong if you don't try) and went with one of my three Millies as I was in that drawer anyway putting away yesterday's Native Chief. I've had six or so different Military's over the years, and I can't really pick a favorite, even including those I've sold or gifted, but I do particularly like this one of my two KW exclusive models that's one side each Ti and CF. with an S90v blade.

Untitled by GaryWGraley, on FlickrHaving had my house hit twice by falling branches, each time allowing water damage to occur, I feel your pain.
