today carrying the same knife I had on me yesterday. I've been awful busy lately, and pulled on the same work pants this morning with the same knife clipped in pocket and never gave it a thought. I didn't get any pics today either, but have a couple left over from Tuesday....

Today, I was carrying an obscure (and previously unknown to me) Native 3 PE VG10 (C78PBK) that I acquired recently from EB.
It's "obscure" in the sense that it has a different model number than all other Natives (C78 vs C41) and, while it uses FRN scales like the Gen 1, it is fatter in the hand and uses a wire clip & VG10 blade steel instead of a full metal clip & Gin-1 blade steel on the Gen 1.
Already knew that the the knife was not in very good shape to begin with (there is pitting and wear on the blade not visible in the poor photos that I've posted). Polished out most of the scratches/pitting but also ended up polishing out the engraved bug (a bit) in the process.
Since, I have already purchased a better one for my collection on the Exchange, I decided to carry it and to consider it a "user" that I may or may not resell later.

, let me know when you decide to get rid of the Native 3, I may be interested. 
Today I'm giving another chance to this Shaman... I bought it mainly because of the steel, didn't have Rex 45 before, wanted to try it.
Knife arrived and even I liked the heavy front blade, geometry and grind, the ergos of the handle were way off my likings...
The scales were IMO very pretty but slippery to the point I dropped the knife few times. Didn't like also the profile of the grip,
the only way I could cut something with the knife was if I chock it, and I can't do this all the time.
So I left it in the drawer for better days... I found online nice aftermarket scales with some Mycarta like material that I'm purchasing soon and will se how it'll go.
So, this is it, I think it's pretty knife, I'm hoping I'll be able to fix the scales so I can use it.
