EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

It's amazing shot...I mean the photo :D

In the previous photo, the bechmade one, is it crooked river or mini? Wanted to know how it feels when really handle in outdoor, will it too large as folding knife?
I've been added crook river & mini one into basket for a while, cannot decide...because the physical shop is closed, cannot try the real feeling.
( - I have paramilitary 2, seems the blade length is similar to mini crooked river)

This is the full size, and while I do like it, it wouldn't be my first choice. It's not that it's too large though, I'm used to carrying large knives (XL gloves for reference). It's just that it's not very grippy and for a large knife it doesn't really fill my hand well due to the design of the handle (lack of tallness?). It's not something that I notice too much when deployed in use, but rather when opening/closing via the AXIS lock. It feels like I need to grasp on to it for dear life.

Actually, this post got me thinking and I decided into look a little further, and I think I see why. Due to the position of the clip, there's just not very much area for the meat of your fingers to grip onto when flicking it open. You can see the difference in the two knives below, where I circled it in red. When I open the knives via AXIS, that is a vital area (for me at least) for my last two fingers to grip and keep control of the knife while the blade flies open. YMMV, I've never heard others mention this, and as I said I do still like the knife, I just don't find it ideal for me.

G10?

Beautiful knife and one of if not my favorite!!

It’s been a constant since I’ve received it. I knew I’d like it when I bought it, but I didn’t expect it to jump into my top 3 in a week of carrying it. It’s a perfect allrounder. Fidget friendly, people friendly, and pocket friendly. It’ll never leave my collection, that’s for sure.

Good point. I reckon the G10 version would help the issue perhaps. I once moved the clip to the other side on this one to carry left pocket, and without the aid of gripping onto the clip the knife wanted to fly out of my hand when deployed with the AXIS.

I still think it needs more area to grip in that spot, however. Even when flicking it closed with the AXIS there is scant real estate to keep your fingers out of the way of the closing blade.

Couldn’t agree more ! I’ve got the natural Micarta and absolutely love this pattern and knife. It’s a nice slicer to pretty thin behind the edge then add m390 and it’s the frosting on the cake. Very solid knife with fit and finish that’s perfection 👍🏻

After the last few months I’ve watched your pictures/backgrounds, if not out of line, what field are you in and what are all those background pictures of?
Hey Woodysone, I’m an electronics tech for the oil and gas industry with a primary role of failure analysis for logging equipment which is basically a GPS system utilized while drilling oil/gas wells. (Google key words, measurement while drilling for more info).
The backgrounds are of equipment im troubleshooting or working on that day usually, although sometimes it might just be something cool in the shop ill use for a background. Plenty of mechanical work as evidenced from my posts as well and interesting enough work to hold
my attention since 2006 while keeping me plenty busy.

Here is most of the parts from the pulser transmitter I was breaking down in my earlier post that went through a rebuild, (About a 4 hour process total and no issues with it just needed a regular servicing), and is about to go back together for oil fill. Here i am about to tie the safety wire on the viton rubber membrane (next to the skaha) which must be leak free under tremendous hydrostatic pressures up to 5 miles underground and is partially exposed to the elements as well as solids and high temps.

All tied up and ready to assemble for the oil fill process. Hope you are having a great weekend!:)

This one today the Mcusta Tactility

After going through all the material again--clubs, teams, and gym times--I sent it off to the scheduler this morning, then spent the rest of the day alternating between a too-long-neglected living room cleaning and resting while drinking coffee and catching up with this thread. We wanted to DVR the Packers/Vikings game as the Pats played Thursday, but forgot and turned it on only to catch the last two minutes and Minny's winning field goal. Oh well, at least the house is getting ready for our whole fam to be here for Thanksgiving including our CA son, wife, and grandson who arrived today and our two still on-Cape with one significant other. Gonna be just great.

I even had time to snap a couple pics to post for Spartan Sunday. Does this seem more like me, F filtrum ?
