Thank you. She was released from the hospital on Sunday. Tight restrictions for 10 days, with visits from Home Health for a couple of weeks. She’s back at her home now and all seems well. We dodged a bullet big time.

How is the traction on the Civivi Cogent Micarta handles?

Edgeoflife I think the Cogent is a dandy, and the micarta provides good texture, I'd have been just as happy with the plain blade vs the Damascus but their Damascus does cut well and this is ground down quite thin. The button lock is really nice and a great way to unlock the knife, I had put the Relic on order as I like the blade shape but emailed them to cancel my order when I saw it had the enclosed stop pin track, very hard to keep clean when it's enclosed. This one has a similar blade shape, almost identical, but an open stop pin that you have access to clean easily, win win lol and my 'special' bead just arrived, so I'll be posting up images later on today

Congrats its a sweet blade. I love their thin grinds most of all, then theres the smooth action, and excellent F+F! I do have a few Damascus blades from them also and would like to check out some of their micarta but its hard to beat a Civivi for value which makes me question why I spend more sometimes lol. Nice lanyard and bead there and I’ll definitely be picking up a cogent. appreciate the mini review!
