I’m not much of a modern knife person, bu I have a Spyderco I bought 28 years ago. This one you posted has me thinking…. But I have to ask, what are the items in the background?

Spydercos are my favorite brand overall and highly recommended!
As for the machined parts they are spearpoint heads for the oilfield industry serving as an attachment point for lifting/seating an MWD tool in/out of the oil well.

Well, I did carry the Southard again yesterday as I'd mentioned, but never did manage any pics despite a later start and relatively short slate of games which unfortunately ended up running late. I set up the morning of instead of the night before, lost time struggling with a jammed set of bleachers early, and found myself in darkness when done cleaning and locking up. So...

...there's nothing wrong with having the Tolk in pocket three days running and finally getting some pics even though the weather was still kinda gray.

I really like the CTS-XHP blade shape and geometry on this knife, though it can be hard to show off the grid lines and flats on this one in pics as it's oddly reflective from different angles and its flat grind can curiously present as if it's hollow.

Good luck with that! The longest I have made it so far is around 40 days. Every time I think I have a knife I can take the distance my mind wanders.
