EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I got these pics Thursday just outside my basement rooms project, and have carried this old friend two days running. I've not managed to post for the last two days as work was busy and I've been non-stop prepping for our league playoffs this weekend. I'm hosting two series at our gym today and tomorrow and may well just hang on to this knife for both.

Wasn’t able to load the website for the better part of yesterday, so I’ve got a weekend’s worth of catching up to do this morning.

Opted for the Viper Katla on Friday. This is another one of my Vipers that kinda make me think that if it was the only knife I owned, I’d be just fine with it. Although it’s a bit thicker and has more overall pocket “presence” than the Viper Anso….so at the end of the day perhaps I’d have to give that sentiment a little more thought.

Speaking hypothetically, of course. Kinda ludicrous/barbaric to suggest anyone should have to live with just one knife…..although it might clear up this log-jamb we’ve got here on the river of “EDC XIII….”

Today's carry is this R.A.M. I had one of these when they were still in production about 10 years ago and thought it was one of the coolest designs ever. 10 years later, I still think the same thing. The Hawk lock is awesome, super convenient and ambidextrous for me. The blade has a nice high hollow grind and gets pretty thin behind the edge so it's an awesome cutter. And I love aluminum handled knives so it's got that going for it as well. The fit and finish on these things is pretty impressive for how much it cost when it was still made. All the edges of the almunium are nice and evenly chamfered, the jimping provides grip but isn't overly aggressive, just all around an awesome knife. I'm usually not much of a coated blade guy but the DLC on this one's pretty cool and I'm curious to see how it wears. Also the DLC gives the blade almost a non-slip, tacky feeling when you choke up on it which is kind of nice. The grip clip works really well too. I've had one before but kind of forgot about them. They keep the knife nice and tight in the pocket until it's time to come out, it will take a little getting used to though. Thank you Mr. Woodysone! (Not sure how to tag people) Have a good saturday everyone!

Edit: Forgot to add one thing.
