African Sporting Creations in Ohio sell these knives. I have the Imamba and the Rinkhal purchased from Jim. Beautiful knives.I'm not sure what that is, but I suppose being in the US it wouldn't do me much good anyway. I don't have the funds for it right now anyway. However I am considering it instead of a CRK purchase I had planned in the future.
I received this old classic beauty yesterday. An original Japan made Al Mar SERE 2K. Al Mar's were one of the first "high end" knives I lusted over as a kid. I remember seeing them in Excalibur at the mall whenever I went there. I thought I'd never seen something so beautiful. I was super saddened when I got back into knives a little while ago and saw that Al Mar has changed their knives to over seas production, but I found this one as new old stock. I love how they hand sand all along the edges of the handles. The liners and g10 match perfectly and have that nice chamfer all along. Al Mar always put a really awesome finish on their VG-10 blades too. I can't really get a good picture of it but it's a nice satin finish but if you look closely in good light, it has that kind of underlying wavy finish that I've only ever seen in VG-10 blades and I believe 154 cm. I'm not really sure what the deal is with that but I love it.
Edit: I guess that last picture does kind of show the pattern in the steel that I'm talking about. Those aren't fingure prints, the steel has that cool kind of wavy looking grain structure to it. I love that shiii.. Haha

In my pocket right now
Oh you dogg, you have a D/A one huh? That's awesome man, I'd love to get my hands on one of those! That or one of the aluminum handled autos would be cool. I like the little extra differences in them. Cool knife man! Honestly I had kind of a hard time being ok with buying a knife that has g10 handles and a VG-10 blade when you can get titanium framelock with M390 or whatever other steel for about the same price, but it's not about that with this knife. This thing is just pure old school, awesome craftsmanship where the company actually puts hands on it and does the final finish without using a CNC. It just has an awesome old school vibe!Awesome blade!!! Love my sere 2k!!!!!!! Mine is a double action auto nodded by B. Vallottin......

The beast! That's a big ol' chunk of D2! I have one of those back home. I never really put it through the paces yet though. I'm going to have to fix that.
