EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

My last decade in the working world was split shifts, 2 weeks days/2 weeks nights. A co-worker very accurately described the feeling as being akin to feeling like having a mild flu two weeks out of the month from sleep deprivation. I have great empathy for all on shift work.

I know that feeling well. I think a revolving shift would kill me, but I have been working 7 days a week since October.

Today I carry this awesome fixed blade in 8670. It's a custom made by David Mary. I was lucky enough to get in on a passaround with it. The handle is awesome, I forget what it's called but it's mad of layers of g10 and rubber. It doesn't really have any give like I was thinking, it basically feels exactly like g10 with its rigidity, but makes it so your hand doesn't slip if it's wet or what not. I like the angle of the edge. The looks are a little different than knives that I normally have (I'm really into mid-height tips, spear point style), but that angle makes it awesome for whittling and cutting through cardboard and what not because the edge is just always right there. You don't have to twist your wrist a bit to get the edge perpendicular to whatever your cutting, which makes it feel more natural. Here she is!
