To respond better about the ability to front flip this one, here's a short video I made this morning.

Now the clip is I think more important to grip the knife than to use it in your pocket as being quite short and stout, it's a tough one to get over the edge of your pants pocket, I usually wear in in my shirt pocket for that reason.

And in the video you'll see using the thumb, much like a bic lighter and the forefinger also like a bic lighter and then a wild west fanning opening that I came up with a while back that also works basically you press the jimping into your palm as you slide your hand backwards, causing the blade to snap out.
