How do you like the micarta? I don't really mind the grivory but I'm a sucker for micarta.
 
Trying to start to carry only knives I can get sharp. Granted, I still carry things that I am not going to take a chance on quite yet, like a P/E Lil Matriarch and stuff, but for the most part, for my utility knives. Ain't bringing the Maxamet PM2 out. Don't even know what I have that for, maybe the question will be answered once I have a guided system.

The first stop on a family vacation this week with my dedicated “travel” knife, a small 31.

Our ultimate destination will be fairly obvious from my pics tomorrow or Wednesday, but I thought I’d see if anyone recognizes the terrain and wants to toss out a guess as to where these pics were taken today. Can you name the nearby town?

My uncle Billy Bob told me, "Go with a big cutter, or don't even think about going home again."

That is a powerful knife, though. I am tempted to buy a few iterations of it, just a dang useful platform... I really would love to get a K390 Wharnie blade in a SAK.
