It’s a great knife. This was one of my first nicer knivesI carry this Kizer Guru way more than I ever thought I would.
Nice edges!
You seemed so taken with the Insingo that I figured I'd carry my other one for Ti Tuesday, to give you another look. This one is an Inkosi--think Inkosingo, a term that may have been coined by our friendTHAT'S an Insigo? I always just kind of wrote CRK off, like "Yep... that's Titanium, alright... sure looks well made... look at that frame...lock.... there's a Sebenza 31...meh" but this one is actually really beautiful and the blade profile speaks to me. Pretty swood, I must say myself.
I’m not real sure if I should get the credit for that. I think I got it from someone else hereYou seemed so taken with the Insingo that I figured I'd carry my other one for Ti Tuesday, to give you another look. This one is an Inkosi--think Inkosingo, a term that may have been coined by our friendDcdavis . I had to spend the morning on a job site and while my Plain Jane is an EDC an already showing a few snail trails, it's not yet been fully committed to being a work user, so I stuck with yesterday's large 21 to start and switched to the PJ once home.
Here's the two together over in the wood shop after lunch...

Well, I first heard it from you, IIRC, and it has a nice ring to it, so you da man in my book. I've also heard Insingkosi, which just doesn't roll of the tongue as easily.I’m not real sure if I should get the credit for that. I think I got it from someone else here
My Rebar is getting really nasty (you can't tell from the picture). What is the best way to clean a multutool? There is gunk in nooks and crannies. Hot vinegar bath???
Hey my friend you could use WD40 or really even better would be any gun cleaner/lubricant.
I highly recommend Ballistol.
Thanks man, I will read it now!!There are cases to be made for vinegar but I avoid it, especially on tools with nooks and crannies. I also avoid WD40 because it's slightly toxic. Understanding long-term health and probability, I've come down firmly on not leaning into the punch on stuff like that. EDC objects should get non-toxic lubrication at the very least.
Ballistol is a better choice than WD40. It's generally regarded as non-toxic. It's mostly oil and solvent. The solvent smells funky but then it evaporates away. This product actually has a rich history. While this write-up is probably biased, some of you might find it interesting:

For cleaning multi-tools, I use a firm toothbrush, hot water, and dish soap. A can of Dust-off with the straw attachment can be a big help in drying. I'll usually follow up with concentrated alcohol and more brushing if needed. That can help with more stubborn gunk and also get rid of any leftover water. (It is quick and easy to dry concentrated alcohol with Dust-off but be wary of temperature and please use eye protection.) You can then follow up with Ballistol or your favorite lubricant in a dropper bottle. I use non-toxic Lubriplate FMO 350-AW, which can be purchased directly from Lubriplate as "FMO Gun Oil".
My man! I always love to hear from you. I am going to get some of this.Hey my friend you could use WD40 or really even better would be any gun cleaner/lubricant.
I highly recommend Ballistol.
