here's today's: over-the-top design, but some redeeming qualities. kershaw 2035 "Parsec", apparently Star Trek inspired. got it at a Woot! sale, about $30 shipped. when it arrived, it was almost impossible to overcome the closed detent. having seen enough shabazz youtube, i disassembled it, put a tiny drop of Daiwa gear oil on the ceramic bearings, put it back together, and it was still stuck. i then found a youtube reviewer saying that because of the design of the lock, squeezing the knife kept the flipper from working. doh! without a death grip, action's fine. i'm still learning.
P.S. - after reassembly, i found 2 tiny yellow metal washers left over. i didn't know if they went inside or outside the bearing, so i put 'em outside. still works.
question: is there a good source for knife schematics? i tend to have leftover parts when i assemble/reassemble stuff.
