Been carrying this Sebenza I got at blade show. I've been doing yard work the last few days and somehow I always find my self cutting something I shouldn't or digging in the dirt with my knife. I know this is murder on an edge, so I decided to sharpen it up today....Its hard to beat a Sebenza with a scary sharp edge on it.

This is poly B. pipe for an irrigation system. The building is being renovated with automatic doors and the line was in the way. I had to cut further into the wall where my cutters wouldn't fit. It actually wasn't too bad to get through. My Ridgid pro-press decided to die mid job, so I'm going to get one on loan, and finish the job while mine gets repaired.

My new scale and hardware came! Polished brass is too bright for me, but I know how good it can look once it patinas (like the brass pen in the photo). I'm holding the idea of how it will look once the brass and micarta darken in my mind. :)

Things were a bit hectic this morning, and in my haste to get my ass out the door I just grabbed my wallet, knife pouch, keys and phone off the dresser and shoved everything in my pockets while I strapped on my watch and slipped on my shoes.

About an hour into my day I went for my knife…only to realize the zip pouch was empty. Not my finest “grab-n-go” moment. I like to think I’m a bit like Jason Bourne in the PM…..but yeah, I’m all Barney Fife in the AM. Mornings just ain’t my thing.

Problem is, as I get older I’m spending more and more of my waking hours in the AM. I hate this aging crap.

Anyway, I keep the RMJ Tactical “Sparrow” strapped to my seatbelt, so after about a gallon of caffeine and the few hours it took to shake the rust off the pistons I was back to my bad-ass self by mid afternoon.

Just in time for a nap.

I forgot my knife today too. Luckily, I keep a Ka-Bar Dozier in the glove box. I'll go out and snap a pic since I forgot that too...

... and here it is. This Ka-Bar Dozier in AUS-8 used to live in my wife's purse. It seamlessly transitioned to my glove compartment during a road trip. It's lived there ever since.

Having forgotten my knife today, I put some use on it. I suppose I could have used the serrated blade on my Swiss Tool XC but it didn't even occur to me. Maybe refer to my previous post? 🤔

Dude, tiny Spydercos are absolutely perfect for this purpose... LOVE the Lil Matriarch, first person I've seen with one!
But yeah, they're weightless, take your pick, Delica, Lil Matriarch, Cricket, Tasman... even the Endura, Matriarch 2 are not too heavy to tote in the lightest of circumstances, I have a ZDP-189 Endura with no clip that I use for the purpose of light travel when needing to prep food. Awesome knife!!
