Good grief, that's no country for sissies..View attachment 1062549
Ya it's cold here. Extreme cold weather alert in effect right now. Minus 40/50C (-40/-58F) with the wind chill. Expected to last until Thursday morning. It was a rough morning of clearing frozen plumbing vents.
My son has Sandwich radar and his timing was impeccable returning J's pickup after using it to haul plywood for his job. He walked in just as the sammy's came off the the griddle and got one for himself. J's been buying 5 lb hams on sale at the market for less $ than 1 lb of sliced deli ham. We get 3-3.5 lbs of meat off one and it makes for great lunches and dinners.Nice sandwich choice...I’ve made a few of those!
Yep nothing wrong with griddle sammy’s and a Manix for lunchMy son has Sandwich radar and his timing was impeccable returning J's pickup after using it to haul plywood for his job. After lunch I went over to the shop with my big boy Manix. I haven't carried it at all for a couple years and forgot what a great knife it is. It's really broad but not thick in pocket and carries really well. I'll never complain about Spydie S30V either, even though I've got lots of knives in newer, "better" steel. Sharpens up easily and cuts really well.

The CBB lock is hard to beat too.
Geez, Marcus, when I first looked at your pic before reading the text I thought those were ice-fishing shanties and you were at least inside one with a heater going. Looks like no fun, brother, though it seems you survived.View attachment 1062549

Ya, I wish I was fishing in a nice warm shack. I actually don't have that much outdoor work usually. The HVAC guys get a lot more brutal rooftop jobs.Geez, Marcus, when I first looked at your pic before reading the text I thought those were ice-fishing shanties and you were at least inside one with a heater going.
