EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Happy Friday, gang. Working from home lately means my knives can be a tad larger:

It's the weekend, yabba dabba doo!!! Weekend carry. A plain jane SHF that I sent back Spartan Blades a few weeks ago to add some pizzaz. The red color on the clip tab is armour's paint, it's a work in progress. Takes a few days to completely dry, then I scrape off the excess.

Thunderstorms and torrential rain kept us cooped up inside all afternoon, so I pulled out a Protech for some finger-fired Friday fun.

Also figured it might be a good opportunity to get a knife pic with our beloved 14-year old Cockapoo. Unfortunately, that’s a whole lot easier said than done. She’s deaf, doesn’t see well and has the attention span of gnat on crack.

About 30 minutes and 75 pics in I finally called it quits. I couldn’t get her to look up to save my life. Got close once, so I’m posting that pic too.

Honestly? I think she was just effin’ with me the whole time.

Traveling with the wife and kiddo. Heading to a Spring, so I'm leaving the good knives at home. Traveling with the Rebar in my pocket is comforting. If you're wearing blue jeans, a Rebar on a pocket dangler clip carries fantastically.

Not shown is the G19, near by. I'm responsible for my family's safety, not a stranger.

Man do I love a knife with character. Great pic.
Thanks, the manix has been my go to work knife for years now. I didn't think about it until afterwards but there was a couple of stabbings in this area last week. Probably an inappropriate picture in hindsight.20220707_155103_copy_1065x1421_1.jpg

Red's still pretty high...
Yeah, the winter run-off and rain this year was intense.

Bonus after hrs pic.

My eldest kiddo was with a friend whose car broke down today, so I just ran out of the house with the knives I already had in my pocket. Took the long way home afterwards (as I am prone to do), found a great little out-of-the-way taco truck, and a nice little spot on the river to enjoy. I sent the wifey this picture to let her know I wouldn't be home for supper.

I did make it home for dessert, however, and to enjoy a long PNW summer evening on the back porch.
