Summer EDC Spotlight: my Creamsicle-colored watch and 2 custom folders.
1) On the left, a full custom slip joint by Alan Davis with a blade of Vegas Forge carbon Damascus and carved Elkhorn covers;
2) On the right, a full custom slip joint by Vincenzo Balistreri featuring a Damasteel blade with the Munin pattern in a modified sheep's foot shape, fossilized Woolly Mammoth ivory covers with a brass mosaic shield, and a Mammoth lanyard bead;

3) The watch is the French Corniche "Heritage" quartz chronograph.

I wanted to like this little Petrified Fish Scout more than I do. It's a cool design and I love that they used 14C28N here instead of their usual D2. It's just held back by a few finishing issues.

The milled lines on the scales were uncomfortably crisp. Something about how they meet the scale texture makes them catch against skin. I did a first pass with folded sandpaper but I need to do more. The spine edges are super crisp too. I suppose that would be good for striking a fire steel, but it feels totally misplaced on a dainty little front-flipper like this. Maybe I'll work on it this weekend after I get around to working on my Bestech Bandit.

I've been digging the S-Gel 0.7mm refill lately. It fits in a bunch of other pen bodies, including the Sarasa Clip. Whenever my nicer "EDC pens" run dry, I'm going to see if they fit in the ones currently running Energels.
I love Sharpie too !! They may even rule the world one day with the quality they come out with. You making franken pens with the S-Gel sounds Devilish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
