Stalking its next victim...?
Beautiful views, glad you went for it (and for sharing the pics).Went on what will likely be my last hike of August yesterday, as I'll be traveling back home to Florida for the rest of the month. I'll be honest and make a little confession; as much as I love the mountains, I don't particularly like heights, and especially don't like ledges. Nevertheless there is this prominent peak in the area where I do many of my hikes, one that I often see because you can't miss it, and it was calling me. At the end is a rock scramble that is quite exposed. I'm not gonna lie, I almost wussed out, I even started to head back down, but I had already come a long way and decided I had to force myself forward. Plus I felt like if I didn't, it would always be right there in the distance every time I was out there, mocking me. I'm so glad I made myself do it. The view was amazing (after about 5 minutes when I could actually make myself look around
), and ended up being an unforgettable experience with my 17yo son. I don't know that I ever need to go back though

Just to give you an idea of what we had to climb at the end, here's a pic of the peak from the web

Side note: Interesting experience on the highway on the way home. I saw what I thought was a high-speed chase with a Tesla, with the officer right on the car's tail as it zoomed along with no sign of stopping. I moved over to the right to let them pass. Turns out they weren't evading...That fool was asleep![]()

DLT loves that model: Tuff Ti ScalesThat is all kinds of awesome! Did RGT do that as a one-off for you? Not exactly a common model for aftermarket scales.
