EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I agree. I have no BM’s left in my collection at all. The current lineup does nothing for me. And what’s with all the plastic-type handles now? I did like the Griptilian but always hoped to seek out a G10 version to no avail. I like Spyderco very much. Especially the Military. To me , it’s the 710 of Spyderco.
I’m gonna have to pile on and agree … I do still own a couple variants of the 940, as well as a 930 Kulgera, but that’s about it for BM for me … the 707, 710, Ares, Mini Dejavoo …. I never shoulda let go of those 😞

Oh yes , the Ares! I forgot about that one. Good looking knife. And for the record, I don’t mind the occasional composite handled folder if it’s done right. The Griptilian , in my opinion, is a great little knife with a composite handle. But it just seems like BM is using Grivory and all kinds of other plastic and rubber to make a lot of their handles now. And when that stuff comprises most of their current catalog, it’s time for me to look elsewhere.

Today we have been hiking in the Harz again. Hiking knife is again the Esee 3 attached to my back pack.

Sadly, the Harz is in a devastating condition. The trees are dying, which makes me really sad.

brown = dead, green = alive

Another picture of dead trees. 😢

Every knife I’ve bought has a really good reason (that I made up) to justify buying it. I was trying to recall the other day what that reason was for this knife. Then, as luck would have it, I dug it out of the drawer this morning and flipped it open, and I remembered: it was the blade - I wanted a modified wharncliff. How convenient I just happened to pull a wharny for Wednesday. 😁
