Today the day started at dawn.

You spent all your money on the Rockstead so now you can only afford paper plates? Kidding

You made the right decision. I’d have done the same thing. Those Rocksteads are gorgeous (and pricey). I still want one.

I was waiting around before and after supper yesterday for my new Cheburkov Leader LW to show up, following the UPS truck on their live delivery location map as I sometimes do. Oddly, the truck was driving in and out of a rat's nest of small residential roads in the next town, a route not at all normal for our address, and I'm wondering if my package is on the wrong truck or if it was just mis-scanned. It's at least a couple hours late for UPS here, and the map shows the truck, which had drawn somewhat closer, rather suddenly headed in the wrong direction and some distance away. At least I haven't gotten a delivery notice yet, I reassure myself, as that would mean it's been dropped off at someone else's house, then sure enough it pops up with no sign of a truck on our road as "delivered at front door". Oh crap, methinks, but sure enough, there it is, mysteriously on our stoop, just before a quick rainstorm comes through.

Anyway, the knife is as I'd hoped for construction, super-light for a 4" bladed piece, and just exceptionally well-done in every way, save for having a wicked stiff opening detent that makes flipping an index finger piercing experience. It's reminiscent in that way of my ZT0452, though not as bad, that was eye-wateringly resistant to flipping opening when new. That knife did eventually break in and I've gotta figure that this one will too, as I'm otherwise extremely pleased with it.
