EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Made it back to the PNW, and it seems the knives survived checked luggage. You can see that the lanyard on my Sebenza gave up the ghost during this trip which is not surprising given all the work I did, but it's still hanging on.

Welcome home, how does the heat wave in the PNW compare to Florida weather? Nice to have you back for all the wonderful pictures .

I am wondering about dying green "slime" across the orange scales, not on this knife, but on a safety-orange RAT-1 that looks just like this but has scales that are Nylon based (which the regular rit-dye has no problems with), in order to have a true Halloween-y knife. Those green Spyderco Salt knives are also a great base for this sort of thing (creating a "Halloween Knife")

Your pics are always the best and I am thinking of doing a "Halloween style" knife inspired in no small part by your partial and funky dye-ings of Salt knives! What is the light next to the Alox SAK? Asking for another member :)

Thanks brother! The heat wave out here is stifling, but in Florida you are instantly dripping in sweat every time you do anything outside. The good thing is that down there you can always take refuge in blasting cold a/c, whereas here our house doesn't have central air, just a portable unit in one room. Also, in Florida on hot days you are likely to get a strong thunderstorm to cool things down, which I love and miss. Everyone thinks it rains all the time out here, but truth is it almost never rains here in the summer, and I've yet to see it pour a drenching rain like it does down there at all. At either place my favorite solution is being out on/in the water; whether it's the Alpine Lakes, waterfalls, creeks, and rivers out here; or the beach and lagoon down there. And yes, my hopes are that I made back in time to still fit plenty of great hikes in before the season is out. I'm planning one of my favorites this week if things go as planned 👍

Many thanks! I look forward to seeing your results. Every time I start one of those dye projects I feel like I'm in over my head, but so far I've always been fairly happy with the results. Just dive in and you'll do just fine is my advice.
Классный набор! Что за фонарь рядом с Victorinox?
The light is a Rovyvon, model 8Ax with the Nichia bulb. As much as I love and put my real trust in my Surefire lights (specifically my tried and true Aviator), those little Rovyvon lights are hard to beat for what they are, and attached to that MiniChamp it makes for a handy little combo. I was actually using it as a makeshift clip for the knife, but the clips on those things come off so easily that I lost it somewhere along the way.

Asked about the light for an evidently Russian speaking member of the forum :) And I agree very much that Rit-Dye is way more fun than folks think, and they should just dive in - the result is always pretty cool in my limited experience with it, have not gone wrong yet!
