Are those Rey light scales on your Smock? Been eyeing the frags for a while but the added weight has kept me away. How do you like it with the Ti scales?

Only way I’ll drink Guinness is in a snakebite or something similar. The addition of Ace pear cider thins the Guinness out a bit and adds some sweet to an otherwise thick bitter beer. Never knew about the coffee blend version.

Yes. ReyLight makes cool stuff.

I like these a lot better! The stock scales for the Smock have an interesting texture but I don't much care for it. My Smock also had uncomfortably crisp liner edges. I went around and softened them up, in addition to softening the spine edges and jimping. Now it is much more comfortable in hand.

With the Reylight Ti scales, Skiff bearings, and MXG clip; my Smock now weighs 4.66oz. In other words, it gained about an ounce. Honestly, that's fine. The weight distributes well over the size and shape of the knife.

There are a ton of layered Guinness drinks. Black and Brown, Black and Tan, Black and Gold, etc. Lots of them are enjoyable. (Coincidentally, "Black and Tan" is almost as offensive as "Irish Car Bomb" to people who know their history.) It's worth looking up a few of these combinations, getting the ingredients, and having a small gathering of friends or family to try them out.

So how many broken omega springs is too many? This is my 3rd set on this knife!

Story time:

I was carrying my Ferrum Forge Stinger for the month and I almost made it all of the way through. One of my employees mentioned that he really liked it a lot so I gave it to him. I'm not much of a flipper person and was going to probably sell it anyways. I took out my Bugout this morning and both springs broke before the end of the work day! Pretty frustrating to say the least.

Not surprised to be honest. Maybe try using Wolff springs?
