Many thanks for the compliment and concerns. Yea, my family is all on the Atlantic side, but it still made a path right over us which can still be quite dangerous due to spawning tornadoes (the path was very reminiscent of Hurricane Charley back in '04 that caused quite a bit of damage). Family all safe and accounted for thank God, which is the important part. Some heavy winds, power outages, damage to out-buildings; but nothing major. The family member who looks after things for me had his half-mile driveway pretty much in the St. Johns River, so I told him to play it safe on checking up on property until tomorrow, but I'm sure everything will be pretty much fine as it's all been through it before.Awesome photos from recent hikes.
Hope your family, friends and property came thru hurricane ok.
You’d think Id’ve learned by now to check for lint.

Glad everyone is safe. Buildings and such are not important in the grand scheme of things. Family and friends are all that matter.Aww shucks...Huge thanks for the kind words, my friend

There's a strange part of me that really misses being down there right now. Something about the clean-up and repair work, and particularly people coming together, that is rather rewarding and leaves me nostalgic for it.
Wishing the best to all the fellow Floridians here![]()
