Edit: Feeling the need for another ride to the coast. It’s so beautiful down there 👍🏻👊🏻

I have a fox 478 in the mail but if it doesn't make me happy I'll be picking up the same matriarch. Do you have any complaints about it?
Nope no complaints. It gets carried daily for my dog walks and then here and there a few places. The only thing I can nitpick on this knife is how the black hardware gets wore down to silver after a lot of pocket time, that’s it. But that pocket worn look is great too. This is the only knife in my collection that gets carried for defensive purposes only.

I had no idea that is how you spell tchotchke. What is the gear from? Shorttime Shorttime

I have to look it up every time I use it. 😩

The gear is from.... Probably a SEW, Dodge, or old Baldor reducer that I torched apart in at my work place. Economy of scale at an aggregates processing operation means that a $2,000 reducer is more expensive to rebuild than to simply scrap, and I like gears.

It was badly chowdered on the outboard end, so I used it for some manual machining practice. I have other ideas for things to do to it, as time and motivation allows.

We have a REALLY big (subcompact car-sized) reducer rusting away in one of the warehouse buildings. I think they would get mad at me for stripping that one down.

Just arrived today. Big but thin and much lighter than most 5.5 inch blades.

It's nice to have some larger, thinner blades. They shouldn't all have to be sharp and pointy clubs. Not that there isn't also a need for sharp and pointy clubs.
What's the name of this little fixed blade? I don't think I've ever seen one before. I love the work on the handle.
Where do you feel the Manly brand ranks among all the other Boker lines and tertiary lines?
