EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Just got home and I'm playing around with my GEC H40. The first time I put it in the sheath I pulled it out and noticed it had a few scratches running almost the whole length of the blade. I looked inside the sheath and realized that they didn't put any sort of backing on the rear of the button inside the sheath. This has been kind of bothering me and I got some felt pads from a knife company made for this and some velcro dots (soft side) to try to keep this from happening, but it looks like both are going to be too thick and the tip will hit it every time I insert the blade into the sheath. So back to the drawing board. I know the blade will get scratched anyway from use, but I like my scratches to at least be my own fault.

I really like that 👍
Oh, thank you sir! This configuration was a grail of mine since the time that I really started getting heavy into knives. I've had a set of jade g10 Wilkins scales for like 12 years but always really wanted his Ti scales. I found a set a while back and couldn't refuse.

I bet Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery would have an idea or 2 for you to try.

Up in the mountains, B? I'm totally jealous as I've been stuck here seaside for much too long. I gotta get up North soon before the snow flies just to enjoy and to make sure all's as it should be. Depends on the seaside. For me The Florida coast, close enough to freshwater covers both bases.
It is as it should be in the north. Fall colors coming, leaves falling and temps getting cooler.
Yessir a short trip to my happy place 👍🏼 Some people just don’t understand…Yes you need to go North my friend!
The mountains are the happy place for a lot. I enjoy my time there every chance I can. Does not have to be the Rockies either. The Smokies work too.

Thanks my friend! That's right Sharp's the local leather expert around here! What do ya say Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery , any quick ideas on this one? I know you could make an amazing sheath for it that would blow the stock one out of the water but I'm not quite to that point yet. There's not much room to get my fingers or too many tools in there, any other ideas on how to cover up that sharp(ish) back of the button?

Not sure where those two sentences above came from that got tacked onto my quoted text in your post. Are they yours RLB0414 RLB0414 ?

FYI, my seaside is Cape Cod and I'm certainly not displeased with it. I'm just missing our northern woods, our camp, and our upper acreage with its hilltop meadow and long views of the White Mountains across the Connecticut River Valley. We've just had too much going on here for far too long to get to our change of scenery, altitude, and the peaceful remoteness of Vermont.

I wouldn’t say that I’m an expert but thank you for the kind words. :)

I’ll shoot ya a PM so as to not derail this thread. :)
