Have you treated the micarta in any way? Mine is a lot more brown than that.

I rub some mineral oil on the scales from time to time. It's not really permanent, over time it always evaporates, especially when you carry the knife in the pocket but I like the look better. The color here on the picture looks more red than it actually is. I took the picture against the light and had to compensate a lot. This is what the color actually looks like (with and without the oil):

Today it's my trusty Opinel No. 7 and my new Victorinox Executive. I really need to get some more SAKs. I've really fallen in love with the Executive, and hardly use my Opinel for anything anymore.
