The more I look at this the more questions, I see no pivots but see a nail nick, slip joint?
Yes it is a slip joint. Tinus Stone does not use pins in any of his knives. His words " I swedge the frame work then glue the covers on". I had to ask for nail nick, he does not like them to ruin the lines of his blades. The more I look at this the more questions, I see no pivots but see a nail nick, slip joint?
So I’m assuming you recommend his work? Do you have any other pieces? Any ways sure is pretty.Yes it is a slip joint. Tinus Stone does not use pins in any of his knives. He said he has had no failures yet with pivots or scales
Thanks, I do like his work. Very affordable ( $270- $300) and 2 weeks to have one made. He only uses N690 steel though. So I’m assuming you recommend his work? Do you have any other pieces? Any ways sure is pretty.![]()
