Thanks for that - it made me trade my new Yojimbo 2 + cash for a NIB Shaman just like yours. I should have it here by the end of the week...
That makes sense. My Sage 5 is like a mini-Shaman, but I got to handle the Shaman this weekend, and I liked the contoured scales and feel in my hand.Mine was in pretty bad shape when I picked it up. Spent several hours cleaning goo off all the pieces with pretty heavy solvents. Spent an hour and a half today recutting the bevels to 17 DPS. Will put a 20 DPS micro bevel on it tomorrow. Tip is pretty well rounded off. I was going to reprofile it but am now thinking I may leave it rounded off. The crucarta pm2 is damn pointy as is so no reason to carry two really pointy knives. And that should keep it a pretty strong tip for doing things I shouldn't do with it. I'm thinking about pulling the scales and hitting them with a scotch Brite pad to rough them up a bit. Not the best buy but for $160 I could have done a lot worse. Seems I now daily carry the crucarta pm2 in my left pocket and shaman in my right.
That’s a cool watch. What am I looking at ? (Great photos and knives too, of course)
