I don't have the Megalodon; I have its predecessor, the Boiling...same knife from his Carson Tech Lab days. I've carried mine quite a bit, as well.
(not exactly the same - the Boiling has thumbstud stop pins - which can be used to open the knife if one is determined (as I am), and is s35vn.)

Great knife! I was honestly tempted to grab the Megalodon more than once, just for the m390; but I think I finally got that knife buying thing under control.

Cleaned out the boathouse today as part of getting the garage/shop together. Needed some room up there for some of the stuff clogging the other space, plus we're getting ready to sell the boat, it having transitioned from a 35K hole in the water to a 35K hole on the land. Figured the S90V Millie would handle cutting some junk line and anything else that might come up.

Does that dog horn sound any different than a standard air horn? Never seen that.
I can see why you don’t want to put that megalodon down. Gotta love a long slab of M390 slicyness!
I hope I never have to find out if it actually works - My Sabre will work every time!! That gel is sticky and messy. Hard to clean up.
To answer your question. This horn has 2 modes "horn" with the horn attached. It sounds regular. Or "high pitched" like mine. It hurts the ears in both modes.
The Megalodon slabs are milled to make it so light and balanced. Best action on a knife that I have ever owned!
